G.Itoya has occupied a corner of Ginza for more than a century, and the twelve-storey flagship is the closest thing the fountain pen world has to a department store devoted entirely to the form.

Itoya is best understood as the place to go in Tokyo to spend an afternoon, not the place to source a specific pen efficiently. The K. Itoya annex stocks the deeper inventory — Nakaya, Pilot Custom Urushi, Sailor Pro Gear specials — while the main building runs paper, ink, gifts, and the Ginza-specific limited editions.
