We collect, normalise, and disclose the inputs that shape every comparison on the site.

How we collect prices

We read prices from each shop's own public product catalogue — Shopify-style product feeds and the structured data on its product pages. We do not buy price data from affiliate networks and we do not use Amazon prices. Prices in other currencies are converted using exchange rates we store and refresh periodically, so a converted price can lag the market. Prices and stock are a snapshot from the date the page was last built and can change at the shop at any time; always confirm at checkout.

Landed cost calculation

Landed cost = list price + estimated shipping + estimated import duty + destination VAT. Duty is calculated using HS commodity code 9608.30 (fountain pens). This is an estimate — verify at checkout.

Authorised dealer status

A retailer is marked "Authorised Dealer" when we have verified this directly with the manufacturer or through their official authorised dealer list.
